Joint venture KAMAZ and Daimler will start an assembly line of trucks of Mercedes-Benz
Today the joint venture of KAMAZ JSC and German Daimler AG Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok will officially start an assembly line of trucks of Mercedes-Benz in Naberezhnye Chelny. We must remind, that assemblage of Mercedes-Benz trucks began on September, 30th, 2010. The joint venture produces tractive units Mercedes-Benz Actros 1841 LS for international transportation, as the agency "PRIME-TASS" reports. The lineup of trucks which will be assembled at the factory Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok in Russia, is practically not limited. In the beginning the orders for Mercedes-Benz Actros and Axor will be basically processed, however with the increase in sales volumes some other models will be accessible for assemblage in Naberezhnye Chelny, for example Mercedes-Benz Atego and special trucks Mercedes-Benz Zetros and Unimog. In 2011 assemblage of the updated models of Mercedes-Benz Axor and Atego will begin. The joint venture Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok was founded in 2010 and now it is a general importer of cargo and special machinery of Mercedes-Benz, and also buses of Mercedes-Benz and Setra in Russia. The sales of Mercedes-Benz trucks are carried out by the company through the dealer network numbering 20 official dealer centers in the largest regions of Russia.
