Sales volume of trucks has risen by 126 % in the first quarter of 2011
Under the statistical data of "ASM-HOLDING", sales volumes of trucks have risen by 125.9 % in the first quarter of 2011 up to 57.82 thousand units. Actually, the growth of sales in this automobile segment is observed since March, 2010, and rates of increase slow down only because of the fact that the comparative base becomes larger too. It should be noted that shipments of Russian trucks have increased by1.9 times up to 29.63 thousand units, but their market share has essentially decreased - from 60.7 % - to 51.3 %. At the same time sales volumes of foreign models assembled in the Russian Federation have increased by 65.9 % - up to 4.23 thousand trucks. It is remarkable that the most quickly growing segment is still the import of new trucks which has grown almost by 3.5 times up to 21.06 thousand trucks, with increase in their market share by 12.8 % - to 36.4 %. At the same time the sales volume of buses in the first quarter has grown by 48.7 % - to 9477 units. This segment of truck market was the first to endure falling and the first, since February, 2010, which started to rise from the crisis. It caused earlier increase of the comparative base. Alas, but the sales of Russian buses have grown only by 11.1 % - up to 5448 units. And their share in the market has decreased from 77.0 % to 57.5 %. And sales volumes of buses of foreign brands assembled in Russia have grown almost by 1.9 times and reached the point of 1420 units, their market share has grown from 11.7 % to 15.0 %. Import of new foreign buses has grown too - almost by 3.5 times up to 2036 buses. Import of second-hand buses has set up a record - having increased by 4 times up to 573 units.
